Sarkodie was made the scapegoat in the aftermath of the snub by Nigerian towards Ghanaian musicians during the Invasion Concert when Zylofon media and Menzgold were launched in Nigeria.
Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, Becca and other Ghanaian musicians were hugely embarrassed when they took their turn to perform in front of the packed Nigerian audience in Nigeria over the weekend.
The matter has angered some Ghanaians so much that many have embarked on a campaign to halt the playing of Nigerian songs in Ghana.
This school of thought is of the strongest conviction that Ghanaian DJs and showbiz personalities have been promoting Nigerian works for long so they can’t understand why Nigerians should disrespect our big artiste like that.
During the ongoing brouhaha on social media, Sarkodie made matters worst when he shared a post promoting a new song by Mr P, one half of the famous Nigerian duo P-Square.
The rapper was consequently bashed from all angles but justifying his action, the CEO of Sarkcess Music took to his twitter page to suggest that our musicians are not breaking into the international market because they don’t produce ‘lasting’ songs.
” Everyone wants to make the biggest song on the radio so we moving away from just making music.“
