The fire is believed to have been set on Valentines day some few hours after the burning of the Salaga South New Patriotic Party Constituency Office by some youth who was angered over the citing of Damongo as Regional capital for the Savanna Region.

The youth of Kete-Krachi who are none to please with the citing of Dambai as Oti Capital are planning to burn down an Estate in the area believed to be owned by Hon Michael Gyato.

According to these angry youth, the role played by the Deputy Minister for Sanitation and Water Resources has cause the change of Oti Capital from Kete-Krachi to Dambai.

The mango farm, established in 2008 had an adjoining 30-acre teak plantation and engaged about 80 workers.
